We’ve been thinking about doing a series of hotel recommendations, as there’s almost nothing more welcome than a friend’s good tip for a place to stay while travelling. We might do a whole month of amazing hotels one day. For now, we are recommending the Ace Hotel in Palm Springs. It has that homey welcomeness of the Ace Hotels in Portland and New York, but on top of that it’s in a fabulous climate! 200 kilometres from Los Angeles Airport or four hours and 35 minutes drive from Las Vegas. I’m with Klaus on this one. While the Ace Hotel in Palm Springs is stylishly designed it is far far far from relaxing with the multiple djs set up throughout the hotel and the guests who scream all night long.
