FANTASTIC MAN’S BEST FRIEND

TEN MARCH, TWO THOUSAND AND TEN

As of today, FANTASTIC MAN has a sister magazine called THE GENTLEWOMAN – the debut issue was presented yesterday at a joyous cocktail party in Paris. Designer Ms. PHOEBE PHILO from the house of CÉLINE is on the cover, shot by Mr. DAVID SIMS, and Ms. PENNY MARTIN is the editor in chief of the whole project. The magazine will be available at newsstands around the world in a week or two, if not sooner… Facebook  Twitter

    HURRAY!

  4. ssilver:

i’d much rather see more frequent issues of fantastic man.

  5. Christine:

I don’t know how it can be as good as Fantastic Man, but as long as the magazine never runs articles on breast cancer, whole grains, eating disorders, unhappy wives or Kiehl’s Silk Groom the Gentlewoman will be ahead of the game.

  6. boris:

Well, Fantastic Man was running out of steam…

  7. matteo:

    i love penny!
can i buy you coffee and you will sign my first copy?

  8. Capstick:

I always thought that the best friend of fantastic man would be another fantastic man.

  9. Kate:

I am thrilled with this news. Except the Daisy Lowe part. But I will just skip those pages. I would read supermarket brochures if Jop and Gert published them.

Please get Bruil to distribute it. Not because I’m on their payroll but because they’re efficient and reliable and newsagents in Melbourne are not.

in the independent article, martin says “We really wanted Chelsea Clinton,” …now, what the hell for? that is an indication of what to expect? can we get more issues of fantastic man, please?

  11. Le fist:

Looking forward to this. I wonder who the majority readership will be though? Girls or boys? Have a feeling it might be the latter, but why not! Nice one. LFN

  15. MattSmith:

The Gentlewoman – it;s like a women that shows up at a gay men’s bar – who brought her and why is she here?

  19. Mike:

Getting David Sims to photograph Phoebe holding a cigarette, that’s totally dishonest, irresponsible and disgraceful. I EXPECTED much better from the editors and from David Sims. So everyone whose mother has died from cancer, lung cancer or breast cancer isn’t worth a conscious sense??? Hey, if Phoebe contracts cancer within her lifetime, don’t cry to me.

I’ve been surfing on-line greater than three hours as of late, but I never found any attention-grabbing article like yours. It is lovely price sufficient for me. Personally, if all web owners and bloggers made just right content material as you probably did, the internet can be much more useful than ever before.

SPRING & SUMMER 2014

What a return! The unmistakable form of Mr. BORIS BECKER, as photographed by his compatriot JUERGEN TELLER, graces the cover of this 19th edition of Fantastic Man – the issue for Spring & Summer 2014. Part of the accompanying interview takes place at tennis legend BORIS’ London home, in the familiar district of WIMBLEDON. Where else, after all, would a six-time GRAND SLAM singles champion choose to live and work? Elsewhere in the issue, a quartet of ELITE MENSWEAR designers – Mr. TOM FORD, Mr. STEFANO PILATI, Mr. ALESSANDRO SARTORI and Mr. BRENDAN MULLANE – are interviewed and photographed as part of unprecedented investigation into the LOFTIEST and most lucrative echelons of the fashion business. The magnificent archive and working practices of the mononymous SNOWDON are discussed at home with the society portraitist. Plus, what is the humble DRY CLEANER actually doing with the garments you hold most dear, why do airline cabin crew particularly adore the celebrated newshound Mr. RICHARD QUEST, and how does one get involved in the fabulous vintological craze that is HYPERDECANTATION? These questions and more are answered in the brilliant new Fantastic Man. Order now
