After having spent sumptuous nights at ACE HOTELS in Seattle, Portland (Oregon) and now the newly opened address in New York City, it has become evident that the beds at the ACE are properly amazing. Some investigation has unearthed the following information: the mattresses are made from organic latex, come from a company called SUITE SLEEP and are the be-all-and-end-all of sleeping devices: neither soft nor hard, neither sweaty nor cold. The rooms at the ACE are generally nice. In Portland they’re decorated with record players, while in New York there are acoustic guitars in most of the rooms to make up for the rather boring area the hotel is located in – right around the corner from the Empire State Building. But the importance of all this lessens if one has a spectacularly comfortable bed to sleep in.
