As a serviceman, I feel obligated to point out that their "slightly fetishistic" nature comes from the fact that, well, those boots are called "Air Force" for a reason. They are authorized uniform wear for USAF ABUs. It's strange (not bad, just strange) to see those so-called sage green boots that I wear four days a week recommended as fashionable. If I could make my own recommendation, stay away from the green. The desert boots and some of the classic blacks strike me as much more doable. Interesting idea.
