Another great souvenir is this paper shirt from Singapore. The shirt is one of many paper accessories – including iPads, boomboxes, designer shoes and fake money – that are burnt as part of the Chinese Qingming festival. The festival honours deceased ancestors through prayer and offerings such as the burnt items, which ensure said ancestors have an enjoyable afterlife – and something nice to wear.

Luis Martins:
…a somewhat distasteful souvenir for chinese sensitivities.
Kevin Yeap:
Thanks Luis Martins. This is a very distasteful way of commercializing what Chinese people use as a form of respect/honoring the death. No way on earth are these items going to be a souvenir.

what should be remarked on is that these paper objects (sometimes having luxury “brand” names on them) are often ways in which some chinese wish to continue propogating their crude and materialistic lifestyle even in death.
