It’s the holiday season and this week we’re giving some suggestions as to what to bring home from one’s travels. Often looked down upon, the souvenir is actually rather charming and, in itself, often quite a handsome object. The miniature Empire State building pictured above is a salt shaker – the pepper being the Chrysler building, but who uses a pepper shaker these days now that everybody knows ground pepper tastes so much better – and was picked up on a trip to New York City.
