Today the DAILY RECOMMENDATIONS visits the SALONE DE MOBILE in Milan, the fair city where literally everyone – in the design community at least – is at the moment. On the ground is friend and editor Mr. ALEX TIEGHI-WALKER whose first stop is the installation by COS. The Swedish fashion brand commissioned designers REMY CLÉMENTE and MORGAN MACCARI, better knowns as BONSOIR PARIS, to create a geometric manner to hang clothing. Inspired by childrens’ building toys, the pair used metal knuckles as joining devices for a network of tubes and woodwork to form a geodesic medley. “We wanted to create something playful and flexible,” explains REMY, “it can be rebuilt anywhere and there are infinite possibilities when putting the structure together; it’s a toy for adults!” Perfect for that troublesome room without sufficient storage! Please return tomorrow for another effervescent furniture fair tip from ALEX.
