The Postman Oxford by RED WING SHOES made its debut in 1954, and was designed for US postman and police who, at the time, still performed a considerable amount of walking. It is in fact very comfortable, aided by its wedge sole, and is enjoying a proper renaissance – both on our feet and those of the model’s at the recent PATRIK ERVELL Spring & Summer 2012 presentation. Goes to show that a sturdy black shoe is always appreciated.
