As said before, summer is the most fabulous of all seasons, but there’s a time when one starts to long for more varied wardrobe, which, luckily, coincides with the autumn/winter collections arriving in the stores. Since the crewneck is the most appealing of all neck shapes, here’s another example, originating from FRED PERRY. Technically speaking it’s a fisherman’s jumper with a three-button closure on the left shoulder, with a delicate green, navy and bordeaux grosgrain ribbon trim under the buttons – a sort of THOM BROWNE-y detail that is echoed in the FRED PERRY piqué-and-oxford polo shirt that is photographed underneath and which has a navy, white and bordeaux trim. It has little to do with FRED PERRY’s tennis origins, but who cares?
