Mr. FELIX BURRICHTER from New York City heartily recommends a visit to the MUSEUM OF CONTEMPORARY ART in Los Angeles, which recently celebrated its 30th anniversary. FELIX had the pleasure to attend the festivities last weekend, centred on a happening created by Italian artist Mr. FRANCESCO VEZZOLI, which saw Ms. LADY GAGA performing at a DAMIEN HIRST-painted piano wearing a custom-made dress by PRADA alongside ballet dancers from the BOLSHOI SCHOOL. Attendees of the 1000-strong event included Mr. GORE VIDAL, Mr. FRANK GEHRY, Mr. HEDI SLIMANE, Ms. MIUCCIA PRADA, Mr. BRAD PITT, Ms. ANGELINA JOLIE, Mr. GUY RITCHIE, Mr. JAMES FRANCO, Mr. TAKESHI MURAKAMI, Mr. TOM FORD and Mr. ED RUSCHA, among others. Aside from such splendors, FELIX was highly impressed by the art on display at MOCA NEW, as it is now known, with an endless line-up of POLLOCKS, JOHNS, KELLYS, JUDDS, OLDENBURGS, FLAVINS, GENZKENS, RAUSCHENBERGS, ROTHKOS, or LICHTENSTEINS, whose “Man with Folded Arms” (1962) and “Telephone” (1961) are shown above.

it would have been fun to go to the anniversary show to see tom ford as always and angelina jolie (maybe hedi slimane to ask what he is doing lately and ed ruscha) but as for the “art” and this rather plain fellow with glasses pictured, i can give it a pass.

Is the guy in the photo a security guard? His standing there looks rather strange.

I think years 2010 would be a good one for this beautiful star
