These fetching coffee cups are by Amsterdam-based potter HERMAN VERHAGEN, and are a made from clay that was excavated during the ongoing digging beneath the Ceintuurbaan for the city’s North/South metro line. Before becoming a potter, HERMAN rendered graphics for the 3D alternate reality SECOND LIFE. He decided that he’d rather use his hands for something more concrete. The clay coffee cups are available for the price of €7.95 at HERMAN’s shop in Amsterdam’s Red Light district or via his website.
