The party season seems to have started, in London at least, with a fabulous digital art installation “8ties” by French artist and genius Mr. MIGUEL CHEVALIER for HERMÈS at SELFRIDGES. Hallucinating geometric patterns, selected by the audience via a handy iPad device, are projected on giant screens, and the projections also miraculously react to the passer by’s movements. It just makes one feel like a kid at a fun fair. CHEVALIER’s delirious patterns also ended up on a selection of HERMÈS ties for a wearable reminder of some shopping fun.
