For those who haven’t had the pleasure of attending a meeting in the extraordinary offices of PAUL SMITH, the cheerful gentleman of British design, a visit to his new exhibition at the Design Museum is highly recommended. Alongside examples of SIR PAUL’s classic-with-a-twist tailoring that span four decades in the business are recreations of his cherished working environments, including his tiny first shop in Nottingham and his current atelier. How nice to see that the desk of the latter is complete with a copy of FANTASTIC MAN for inspiration. The Afghan hound in the first shot, by the way, is HOMER, who apparently helped run the shop. A very talented canine!
