The PICASSO, a rather odd coloured cocktail recommended by dear friend DANIEL RIERA, is from the MILANO cocktail bar in Barcelona. “The PICASSO is a total extravaganza,” says DANIEL, “mixing tequila, absinthe, honey syrup, lime juice and fresh basil it’s a sophisticated version of the MOJITO – due to the freshness of the lime and basil – that also smells amazing.” DANIEL recommends enjoying a PICASSO after an opening, as the MILANO is often populated by a local, artistic crowd. “Be careful though, as the drink is super addictive. I wouldn’t recommend more than three,” says DANIEL. In fact, the MILANO recommends that one only enjoys two.

That discussion of a limit of two or three just cries out for the wonderful Dorothy Parker rhyme:
I love to have a martini
Two at the very most
Three, and I’m under the table
Four, and I’m under my host
