Much has been made about “Casual Friday”, the ilk of wearing something not too formal on the last day of the working week; a trend that spawned from American middle management in the late 1990s. Well, in fact it’s never more fun to be dressed up than on Fridays, as a fabulous contrast to the freedom of weekend looming. So that’s our tip for today: get dressed! This pearl-knit tie is by CERRUTI 1881 and combines black and white silk for a fitting conclusion to our monochrome week. It is worn here with a white poplin shirt, also by the Parisian house. Readers may note that the the menswear label recently greeted the world with the fabulous news that Aldo Maria Camillo is appointed the new artistic director – he’ll be showing his first collection for the house in January of 2013.
