Mr. ROB PHILIP of Deventer, The Netherlands, recommends going to the viewing of the upcoming auction of photographs by PHILLIPS DE PURY & COMPANY on 450 West 15th Street in New York City. The auction is on Friday, 16 April, and viewings are from 10-15 April. A private viewing reception is on Tuesday, 13 April, from 6-8 pm, and on the invitation for the event is an “iconic” photo of the popular singer Ms. MADONNA by Mr. HERB RITTS from 1990. The estimate for this picture is $18,000-22,000.

Who still cares about Madonna except some old queens? This is as bad as the first issue of the Gentlewoman, which I saw on the newstands today– all advertisements, old stories and little of value! Please give us more Fantastic Man and things for men!!!

This photo was used for an edition of INTERVIEW. It was one of my first introductions to the photography of Herb Ritts who I’m sure if alive today would be a great interview in FANTASTIC MAN. I’ve YouTubed him and he seemed like a great guy and as beautiful as any of his iconic subjects. Also, I still like Madonna and I wish to have arms like hers.
