For a moment of nostalgia, it is recommended to book the DJ Mr. MIKE JOYCE, the former drummer of THE SMITHS, for any upcoming festivities requiring music. MIKE is currently celebrating the 25th anniversary of the album MEAT IS MURDER, whose cover served as the basis of MIKE’s promotional flyer, and he will undoubtedly endeavor to make sure a jolly time is had by all, especially those within a certain age bracket. Mr. ANDY ROURKE, THE SMITHS’ former bassist, is also available for DJ bookings. They can both be contacted via their agency.

Or go to the real thing and catch Morrissey on tour: http://www.itsmorrisseysworld.com/
Live dates are to be announced soon for this year. I saw him last year and he still has it!

A little disappointed in FM for giving these clowns publicity.
Mr Cheap Date:
On 80s indie deities, I would recommend as an absolutely essential purchase Orange Juice’s “Rip It Up”. I have just bought this as a CD reissue. Not only is it still as classic and perfectly crafted a record as it was upon release, there are several pages of fascinating sleevenotes from the truly fantastic Mr Edwyn Collins himself, possibly a candidate for a future feature in your magazine…?

Played a really good set at an event in Dublin I attended, he also got in a cab and got drunk with us. Total gent and great DJ thoroughly recommend.
