Recently published and deserving great attention is the book THE LAST BOHEMIANS: THE TWO ROBERTS – COLQUHOUN AND MacBRYDE by Mr. ROGER BRISTOW, which studies the lives of two Scottish artists of the 1950s. Co-dependent from the day they met, the ROBERTS found artistic success when they moved to London, and were seen as equals to their friends FRANCIS BACON and LUCIEN FREUD, but their reputations declined as they sank into alcoholism and faced untimely deaths. This is the first-ever book about the ROBERTS, and will act for most as an introduction to the artists, as well as a timely reminder of what occurs when stars diminish.
