The wonderful presentation of E. TAUTZ was one of the highlights of this week’s “menswear day” at the end of London Fashion Week. The fifteen nicely classic looks were presented in a little runway show on Savile Row, with head of house Mr. PATRICK GRANT providing live commentary for the garments such as this “hand sewn HARRIS tweed kilt with grey cashmere crew neck sweater and hand knitted kilt hose”, the last point referring to the amazing tasselled socks. All materials were of course sourced from traditional suppliers in Scotland and Wales. For some more looks from the E. TAUTZ collection, click on the image above.

Worldmanabouttown:
I can’t remember how many times kilts tried to make it to the fashion mainstream consciousness and failed. They seem to come back every few years or so but don’t stick. However, the designs by E. Tautz on the website are much nicer! They are not exactly new, and owe much to Marc Jacobs and Thom Browne, but they are good nonetheless.

Savile Row is at the heart of everything that E. Tautz. The timeless, simple elegance of the cut, and the relentless pursuit of the highest standards of make. Since relaunching the brand Patrick Grant has been able to inject so much more life in to Churchill’s favourite tailor.
