Mr. ALAIN is a maître barbier and operates his fabulously-appointed shop, ALAIN MAÎTRE BARBIER, in the Marais district of Paris. As one may gather from the images, viewable by clicking on the photograph above, tradition is his forte, and the reason he is in demand by clients like Mr. JOHNNY HALLYDAY, for whom ALAIN maintains a personal razor. ALAIN specialises in la rasage à l’ancienne and the moustache in particular. He lists a catalog of thirteen basic styles adaptable to different beards, including the marvelous En petits pointes, the Hongroise, and the Conquérante.
