Heartily recommended is a lecture to be given at the VICTORIA & ALBERT MUSEUM this Saturday by Mr. CHARLIE PORTER of the deputy desk at FANTASTIC MAN. The talk will be on the suit and its relevancy today, about which CHARLIE will not be biased even though he has not once worn a suit throughout 2009. CHARLIE is particularly keen to see if the theories of Ms. ANNE HOLLANDER in her pivotal book SEX AND SUITS are as relevant today as they were in 1994. He will illustrate this with a POWERPOINT presentation as well as some examples of suits that are of particular interest. The lecture is at 3pm this Saturday. The free tickets are released earlier that day at 1pm at the V&A. It is part of an all-day event called RESTYLING AND REFASHIONING, details of which can be found here.
