One of the awkward but potentially practical things about watching the menswear shows for next winter at this moment, in the current winter, is that many of the proposals are immediately applicable today. Such is the case with the emphasis on volume for the upper part of the body as shown by the British house of BURBERRY. The collars on BURBERRY’s coats and epaulettes on jumpers and jackets are an interesting response to the trend in women’s fashion towards broader and bolder shoulders and a highly developed silhouette for the torso and neckline.
